Kindle Basic 7th Gen. Unboxing

Hey guys, it's Monday, I got my 7th Generation Basic Kindle over the mail on Saturday I was super excited to do a unboxing/first impressions for you guys but I told myself that it could wait till Monday. I took a bunch of pictures and I hope that it will help those that are looking to buy this product or just curious about it.




This is what it looks like when I take it straight out of the box.

I took off the plastic and sleeve off the box,

Then I opened it, it has the kindle logo of the guy under the tree printed in gloss on the top of the box. and the product.

When you take everything out of the box you get a charger, a getting to know you Kindle guide and the Kindle.

I removed the plastic and the first thing I noticed was that it did not have a soft rubber coating on the back like my 4th generation. I am a little disappointed that it is just a thick grooved plastic it kind of feels like it could slip right out of you hands. I feel like I'll want to invest in one of those silicone skins to give it a better grip.

I turned it on and it loaded.

It gives you a wide range of languages to choose from and then you continue to set up you account all you need is a form of payment, like a credit card, and an Amazon account.

When you finished setting up your device it walks you through how to use you new Kindle.

I uploaded all my old books from my cloud and I was set.

When you tap the top of the screen while reading a book, it will pull up a options page.

Also as you notice there is a house icon that takes you to the home page a back button. A shopping card that takes you to the ebook store. A search icon where can search for a book, and a g that takes you to the good reads app it's a social network that connects you to other book readers so you can recommend book and read reviews on novels you want to buy. I am not really interested with it but you might enjoy it. ( Those buttons are also on the homepage.

 The first button that has Aa on it pulls up a page that have personalized options when it come to font, font size, line spacing, and margins.

 I didn't take any picture of the Got To button but you can tap it and it gives you a list of the beginning the cover and the chapters so you can just tap on one and get there in seconds.


This is the X Ray option it gives you a list of the names of the characters and places in the book with a description of them. This only works for  some books.

They also have the classic bookmark.

 This is the comparison of the 4th generation and the 7th generation basic Kindles.

The 7th gen seems wider because of it's blockyness but other whys its about the same in looks

Elf kittys

Today I realized that I  had forgotten to do my elf kitty Christmas countdown oops...




Here's my Rigby! Currently running around with a toy mouse in her mouse and walking all over my key board   9;'p.98i?b. <<There  she is....

Felt Strawberries

It's Wednesday again and I decided to make a little felt strawberry. 

You will need:

Big eyed embroidery needles 

Lime green and red embroidery floss

Stuffing 

Red and green felt 

Scissors 

                                                   Draw a large letter D onto the red felt.

                                                                             Cut it out.

It should look something like this

Fold it like this and trim any excess felt

Pin the corner 

Thread a embroidery need with the red floss and whip stitch it 

(How to whip stitch

                                        When you have whip stitched the side remove the pin

   

Then turn inside out

       Thread needle with green thread.

Make large stitches this will represent the  seeds of the strawberry.

 

This is what the row of stitched will look like repeat till all of the strawberry has these on it.

 Fill it with the stuffing 

Now we need to close the opening in the strawberry. 

  Repeat making crosses and pulling hard after every stitch.

it will pucker and look like this.

Cut out a circle of felt it doesn't have to be perfect .

cut triangles out of it till it looks like this 

sew it on.

It's finished I will use it all a pin cushion but you can do plenty of other things with it. 

My cat was not thrilled with it as you can tell... :)

Gingerbread Mansion

I know that today is Tuesday but I just got the pictures of the ginger bread mansion last night and I wanted to not have to wait till you guys saw them!

Hey guys it's Monday once again and I hope that you have had a great weekend. I made a gingerbread mansion with my Aunts, Uncles, and cousins this weekend. as soon as I get a picture on my computer I will show it to you guys.

It is 18 days till the 25th of December. I can't wait for the festivities to begin! The Holidays have come too early this year and net thing you know it will be 2015! I hope that all of y'all are all set for Christmas because I know I'm not!

Hi guys I  don't have a plan for today so I just decided to just talk to you guys it's been a while. Today I counted my money and I had enough to buy a new kindle.

Last winter I tripped in my room and hit the screen on my heater. It internally shattered my screen.  These irritating tender screened gadgets!


It totally stinks, but hey!

  So I ordered a new one from Walmart  so it can get delivered to my house.  Usually I send it to a store near me because the shipping is free but Walmart is doing a Cyber Week special where everything over $50 has free shipping so I was like, why not?????? I also didn't have to pay tax and it was two bucks off so triple score!!! I think I might take pictures of the opening process. For you guys and anyone interested in the product. It should be coming in about 10 days.

I hope every thing has been good with you guys it has been so rainy today! Finally the sun poked out of the clouds! The warmth of the sun makes everyday a happier day!
