Becoming Numb to Sin

We, as Christians, are increasingly becoming numbed to sin in this world.  We find it everywhere we can look.

On TV we see so many sinful acts and sinful language. Commercials are addressed to the "gotta-have-it" natures of us as humans in this world. Society addresses love as a momentary thing. We hear people falling in love, then moving on to the next love.  How often do we shy from all of this?

As a kid, if you had siblings or a relative that you admired strongly, you would start to mold your self to be like them. Say what they say, like what they like you try to be like THEM. You can even do this unconsciously too!

We are putting ourselves in the perfect place to change our mind set on things that we as Christians know is sinful and wrong.

Psalms 14 "Fools say to themselves 'there is no God.' These fools are evil and do terrible things; there is no that does any good. But all have turned away. Together everyone has become evil. There is no one that does any good. Don't the wicked understand? They destroy my people as if they were eating bread. They do not seek the Lord. But the wicked are filled with terror, because the God is with those who do right. The wicked upset the plans of the poor, but the Lord will protect them. I pray that victory will come to Israel from Mount Zion may the people of Jacob rejoice,  and the people of Israel will be glad!"

We need to break away from the loop and from the sinful things that have turned God's people numb to sin.

I hope all of you have awesome Mondays! Until later!  <3
